SAINT PAUL, Minn. --- Hamline University men's tennis sophomores
Matthew George (Brooklyn Park, Minn.),
Wesley Saunders (Monroe, Wis.) and junior
Brendon Sebring (Lakeville, Minn.) have been named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honorees, the organization announced May 12.
George competed in 19 matches this season in both singles and doubles. In singles play, George went 5-14 on the season between the #2 and #3 singles spot for the Pipers. In doubles play, he played at the #2 doubles position with first year
Max Gulliford in all but one doubles match this season, going 14-4 overall and 6-2 in conference play, having the best doubles record as a duo of the season.
Saunders competed in 15 matches this season in both singles and doubles. In singles play, Saunders went 5-10 on the season, playing mostly at the #6 spot for the Pipers. In doubles play, he went 3-11 overall at the #3 doubles position.
Sebring competed in 19 matches this season in both singles and doubles. In singles play, Sebring went 8-11 overall, playing between the #2 and #3 singles spot for the Pipers. In doubles play, he and partner
Wyatt Crowell went 11-8 on the season at the #1 doubles spot and 5-4 in conference play, which included a ranked doubles win over the #16 ranked pair in the country from Carleton.
