SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline Invitational was upon the men's track & field team at Klas Field on Saturday.
The 4x100 meter relay team of Mickey Otis, Reece Thomas, Dawson Schaffer, and Ricky Kwabena Yawson registered a first-place time of 42.87. The first-place trend continued in the triple jump courtesy of Isaiah Watson's leap of 13.65m. Abdoul Gueye followed Watson in third place with a 13.08m. Watson kept up the podium finishes in the long jump, where he took third place with a 6.61m.
David Couper registered a fourth-place toss of 42.54m in the javelin.
Sixth place was in the cards for Lucas LiaBraaten in the 1500 meter run, where he crossed the finish line at 4:15.00. Josiah Budiman achieved sixth place with a leap of 6.31m in the long jump, as did Oliver Engstrom in the pole vault with a 3.60m.
The Pipers will compete at the Bethel Invitational on Saturday, April 12 in Arden Hills, Minnesota.
