It was a great night for indoor tennis ... and the Pipers took advantage of it to record a pair of impressive wins over Bethany Lutheran.

The HU women's tennis won their first match of the year, 8-1 and the men did them one better, winning 9-0.

On the distaff side, Carissa Wallerich, Rachael Barnes and Shamara Duwearachi all won at singles and doubles matches. Wallerich and Barnes teamed up for a thrilling 9-8 victory decided by a 7-3 tiebreaker set. Duwearachi teamed with Lee Manthe for the doubles win.  Cassie Rammage, Emily Butler and Elizabeth Hughes also posted singles wins. All the singles victories were in straight sets.

The men were even more impressive. Sam Peterson, Nathan Trestven and Jesse Bragg swept their singles matches and won at doubles, too. Peterson and Trestven paired up for a win while Bragg and Ben Ekstein triumphed as did the team of Derek Lutz-Dylan Perry. Other singles winners were: John Banovetz, David Croonquist (now 4-0) and Kam Manthe.
