Tennis Scores can sometimes be deceptive. Hamline's men's team lost to Carleton, 9-0 at Holt Courts Sunday but, in reality, it was a closer match than the final score would indicate.
There was
Derek Lutz at No. 4 singles, who dropped a tense 6-4, 2-6, 10-12 decision.
Nathan Tretsven also put up a stubborn front, too, losing at No. 2 singles 3-6, 6-7 (6-8 tiebreaker). The Knights, who are 5-0 in league play (10-3 overall ) and ranked No. 8 in the region, prevailed on all counts.
HU fell to 2-11 overall, 0-4 in conference play.
