The HU men's tennis team discovered why Carleton is nationally ranked.
Cody Jahrig had a good night, though, as the Pipers dropped a 7-2 decision to the Knights Friday night in Northfield. Jahrig, playing No. 4 singles, outlasted Ezra Frankel for a 2-6, 6-3, 10-8 win. He also teamed with
Derek Lutz for a marathon 9-7 win at No. 2 doubles. But those were the only games the Pipers could muster against Carleton, which is rated No. 17 in D-III with a 12-7 mark, 4-0 in the MIAC.
HU, which will face St. Thomas Sunday at the U of Minnesota, is 5-11, 1-4.
