Derek Lutz took over the Hamline men's tennis team lead in singles but that was it as Hamline fell to Bethel, 8-1, at Holt Courts. 

Lutz improved to 8-10 overall at No. 2 singles with a 6-1, 6-4 decision. 

The Pipers dropped to 5-14 overall, 1-7 in the MIAC.

They close out the season Saturday against St. Olaf.
