Men's Tennis Blanks Martin Luther

Hamline's men's tennis team overwhelmed Martin Luther en route to a 9-0 decision Friday at the U of Minnesota. The Pipers improved to 3-1 by winning five of six singles matches in straight sets and giving up just four games in sweeping the doubles matches. David Yanagita continued his excellent first season at No. 1 singles with a 6-2, 6-1 win. He teamed with Cody Jahrig for an 8-0 romp at No. 1 doubles. Jacob Duxbury lost a tough three-setter at No. 2 singles, 6-4, 4-6, 7-10. Brandon Kuether, Matt Seracki, Gabriel Guarin and Ben Ekstein all won their singles matches in straight sets. 

Duxbury and Sam Peterson paired up for a 8-3 win at No. 2 doubles while Kuether-Seracki won at No. 3 doubles, 8-1. 

The Pipers open MIAC play against Bethel February 20.
