Hamline walked into the mouth of the lion and found out it still has a lot of teeth. Perennial power Gustavus Adolphus defeated the Pipers, 9-0, in men's tennis Saturday in St. Peter ... but not without a bit of a fight.

Cody Jahrig, for example, snared a set at No. 3 singles before dropping the tiebreaker, 10-5. He and David Yanagita also put up a battle at No. 1 doubles before falling 8-4. The No. 3 doubles team of Brandon Kuether and Matt Seracki also lost by the same count.  HU is 5-6 overall, 0-5 in the MIAC.
