They took the dramatic route to do so. A win by any way is a win. The Pipers' men's tennis team earned its first MIAC victory of the season with a hard fought 5-4 decision over St. Olaf Friday night in Owatonna, Minn.
HU is now 2-1 overall and 1-1 in league play.
Cody Jahrig kept his perfect record alive at No. 6 singles with a 6-0, 6-1 win.
Mark Johnson had to go three sets for a heartstopping win at No. 3 singles, winning 6-3, 6-7, 10-8.
Matt Seracki had an easier time of it at No. 4 singles with a solid 6-1, 6-2 decision. Gabriel Guarin and
Ben Klimek teamed up for an 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles with Jahrig and
David Yanagita triumphing at No. 3 doubles by an 8-2 margin.
