Cody Jahrig exited the way he started the men's tennis season -- winning matches. The senior made his final college one to remember fondly Sunday with wins in singles and doubles as Hamline dropped a 6-3 decision to Macalester in the season finale at the U of Minnesota's indoor facility.
Jahrig finished the season with a 10-6 singles record after a hard fought three set win at No. 3. He also teamed with
Mark Johnson for an 8-4 triumph at No. 3 doubles. Hamline's other win was also in doubles -- a tightly contested 8-6 decision at No. 2 for
Gabriel Guarin and
Ben Klimek. Guarin gave it quite a ride in his No. 6 singles match, losing in three sets, 4-6, 7-5, 10-8.
Hamline finished the season 7-10 overall, 2-7 in the MIAC. In addition to Jahrig, it was also the final match for
David Yanagita.
