Box Score For nearly a decade, a Tallaksen has been in the middle of the action at a Hamline men's soccer game. First, it was Tyler who controlled the middle and attacked the net for four seasons. The 2017 season is
Trevor Tallaksen's fourth with the Pipers. The senior got off on the right foot Friday when he scored the season's first goal as the Pipers blanketed North Central, 3-0, in the season opener for both teams at Paterson Field Friday afternoon.
Tallaksen footed the rebound of
Adam King's shot into the NCU net from close range 13:43 into the game to give the Pipers a lead they never surrendered. King helped out again 20 minutes later when he fed
Jonah Wilson-Nausner for a goal in his first college game.
Stefan Kinsinger finished off the scoring with a header off a
James Reardon cross early in the second half.
Hamline controlled the play most of the way, finishing with a 17-2 edge in total shots.
Dean Isaacson recorded one save to earn the shutout, the 10th of his college career.
HU has little time to rest on its laurels. They head up Snelling Ave. Saturday to play Northwestern on the latter's field. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
