Box Score The Hamline women's soccer team wasted no time making themselves comfortable at Paterson Field. It took just 60 seconds for Arendje Louter to get the first goal of the home season. Less than three minutes later, Ashlee Olson (4) did likewise and the Pipers kept up the attack all day, defeating Minnesota-Morris, 7-1, before an appreciative home crowd.

Louter and Olson scored twice each with Siri ParkerKaley Roberts and Alicia Williams adding singles to give head coach Emily Cripe a win in her first home field game. HU is now 2-1-1 overall.

Jordan Roderick-Fried was in a giving mood in the early going. She set up the goals by Louter and Olson that gave Hamline a 2-0 lead after just 3:56 of play. Olson added a second tally and Parker knocked in the rebound of a Kimberly Hatlestad shot that hit the goalpost for a 4-0 lead after 40 minutes. The Cougars scored in the final minute of the half and it was 4-1 at intermission.

19 minutes into the second half, Roberts finished a nifty three way passing play to make up the tally to 5-1 and stretch her scoring streak to three consecutive games. In the waning minutes, Williams drilled a free kick home and Louter broke free for her second of the game and third of the season. The junior now has 18 career goals, fourth best in school history.  Hamline outshot the Cougars, 34-3, overall. Kat Armstrong earned the win in goal.

HU now turns its attention to MIAC play. They play at Macalester on Tuesday, Sept. 12 at 4:00 p.m. Carleton comes to Paterson Field next Saturday, September 16 for a 3:30 p.m. game.
