The Piper men's tennis team doubled their doubles pleasure Wednesday against St. Olaf. The number one doubles pairing of
Jake Trondson and
Matt Seracki scrapped their way to an 8-6 win. The No. 3 team of
Gabriel Guarin (left) and
Ben Klimek (right) fought their way through a tiebreaker for a dramatic 9-8 win. Unfortunately, HU could only win one singles match (that by Klimek in straight sets) and lost the overall match, 6-3. The Pipers came close at No. 2 singles (where Seracki lost a tiebreaking first set) and at No. 4 where
Brandon Kuether lost two closely contested sets.
Hamline is now 8-8 overall, 0-7 in MIAC play. They face Gustavus Adolphus on Saturday, April 28 at Baseline Tennis Center. The match begins at 7:00 p.m.
