The rust was evident for the Hamline men's tennis team Thursday against Macalester. in their first match since returning from Florida, the Pipers fell by a 7-2 margin to Macalester at Baseline Tennis Center at the University of Minnesota.
Jake Trondson scored a straight set at No. 1 singles (6-4, 6-3) and
Ben Klimek (pictured) clawed his way to a 7-5, 6-2 triumph at No. 5 singles.
HU saw its three match winning streak come to an end and dropped to 7-3 overall on the season, 0-2 in MIAC play.
Hamline is back on the court Sunday, April 7 against St. Thomas. The match will be played at Life Time Fitness in Lakeville and will start at 7:30 p.m.
