SAINT PAUL, MINN.—Hamline University men's basketball senior forward Cooper Berg was named to the 2021-22 MIAC Men's Basketball All-Conference Third Team on Monday. This marks Berg's fist All-MIAC nod.
The Forest Lake, Minnesota native started all 26 games for the Pipers, and led the team with 14.7 points per game, 6.8 rebounds per game, a .415 (59-of-142) three-point field goal percentage, and 80 made free throws. Berg ranked in the top-five among all MIAC players with 5.85 defensive rebounds per game, a .825 (80-of-97) free throw percentage, 2.27 three-point field goals made per game, and 59 three-point field goals made.
He registered a career-high 32 points in a 72-62 victory over Macalester on January 12, and 17 rebounds in a 97-90 win over North Central (Minn.) on December 30.
Berg finished his Pipers career with 445 points, and 209 rebounds.
Sophomore guard Jake Wohlers was named to the 2021-22 MIAC Men's Basketball All-Sportsmanship Team.
The Pipers finished their 2021-22 season with a 10-16. 7-12 MIAC record.
