MANKATO, MINN.—The Hamline University track & field teams embarked on day one of the MSU-Mankato Mark Schuck Open & Multi on Friday. The women are in fourth place out of 12 teams with 23 points, while the men sit in eighth place with six points.

Alexandra Maddux highlighted the women with a first-place time of 1:19.00 in the 500 meter dash. The 4x200 meter relay team of Ellie Logelin, Lindsey Bernardy, Andreiana Aurelius, and Liana Woo came through with a 1:56.11, good enough for first place.

The Pipers will embark on day two of the meet tomorrow, Saturday, January 28 at 9 a.m.
