MIAC RELEASE

SAINT PAUL, MINN.—Freshman forward Ryder Tomlinson Sterud, and junior defender Jessie Juarez were each named to the 2023 MIAC Men's Soccer All-Conference Team on Tuesday. Tomlinson Sterud was also named 2023 MIAC Men's Soccer Rookie of the Year, becoming the first Piper to land the award since its inception in 2021.

"I could not think of a more fitting award winner for this (MIAC Rookie of the Year) than Ryder Tomlinson Sterud," said Pipers head men's soccer coach Tyler Oliver. "Being one of our very first commitments we got, we knew from the get-go he had this kind of potential. For other coaches in our conference to see that as well is a big honor to him, and the whole team in general. Ryder was a big piece to what made us tick, and can't wait for what he's got in store for many years to come."

This is the first time Hamline had multiple all-conference selections since 2017, when Oscar Campbell and Adam King were honored. Tomlinson Sterud and Juarez are the 42nd and 43rd all-conference selections in school history.
