ST. PAUL, Minn. — Hamline University senior defenseman Drew Axel (Pasco, Wash./Tri-Cities Prep) and senior defenseman Rigo Arellano (San Diego, Calif./Montgomery) earned 2025 MIAC Men's Soccer Honorable Mention honors, released Nov. 10. 

Axel played and started in all 19 matches this season, contributing 1 goal and 6 assists (8 points) for the team. He is the only player to start every single game this season. In his career at Hamline, Axel has put up a total of 2 goals and 10 assists in 67 games played and accumulated 30 shots on goal. He has spent 4874 total minutes playing time on the field in four years. 

Arellano started in 17 of the 19 matches this season and he played in all 19 matches. He accumulated 5 shots on goal over the course of the season and played 1545 minutes on the field. In his career at Hamline, Arellano started in 45 of the 47 games that he played in. He scored 3 goals and had 4 assists (10 points) and accumulated a total of 19 shots on goal in his 3 seasons with the Pipers and recorded 3796 minutes playing time on the field.
