ARDEN HILLS, MINN.—The Hamline University track & field teams made the short trip to compete in the Bethel Invitational on Saturday. No team scores were recorded.
Madison Reed claimed the women's hammer title with a mark of 44.76m. Reed's stellar meet continued with a 37.05m in the discus, good enough for third place. The shot put resulted in stellar finishes for the Pipers as Desirae Dates took fourth place with a 11.53m. Ellie Biggins (11.19m) and Lexi Brainer (11.14m) were the next two finishers.
Lindsey Bernardy highlighted the women sprinters with a third-place time of 1:00.46 in the 400 meter dash. Alexandra Maddux kept the third-place trend alive in the 1500 meter run, where she crossed the finish line at 4:43.02.
Grace Pierson cleared the bar at 2.89m in the pole vault en route to seventh place.
Michael Braun continued to prove his standing as the top performer for the men as he registered second place with a 1.90m in the high jump. Reece Thomas highlighted the sprinters with a sixth-place time of 11.50 in the 100 meter run. The distance group was all Aric Brodie, who notched 16th place in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:13.66.
The Pipers will compete at the Concordia St. Paul Holst Invitational on Saturday, April 22.
