Maxim Henderson Named MIAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week

MIAC RELEASE

SAINT PAUL, MINN.—Hamline University sophomore goalkeeper Maxim Henderson has been named October 7 MIAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. Henderson is the second Piper to earn the weekly honor this season after Ryder Tomlinson Sterud earned offensive player of the week on September 3.

The Phoenix, Arizona native recorded back-to-back shutouts with six saves apiece in 3-0 shutouts at Concordia (Minn.) on October 2, and against Bethel on October 5.

Henderson ranks fourth in the MIAC with four shutouts over seven starts in 2024, and also sports a 1.29 goals against average, 30 saves, a .769 save percentage, and a 6-1 win-loss record.

Henderson and the Pipers will return to action for the Second Annual Oliver Bowl at St. Olaf on Saturday, October 12 at 3:30 p.m.
