Box Score Saint Paul, Minn. -- On a beautiful Saturday afternoon at the Holt Courts at the Jeff Green Family Tennis Center, the Hamline Pipers men's tennis team faced off against UW-Stevens Point in a dual match.
The Pipers started strong in singles play. Hamline secured two more victories.
Wyatt Crowell continued his strong performance with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 win in the top singles match. In a hard-fought battle, first-year Max Guilford earned his first career collegiate win, winning his singles match with a tiebreak score of 6-1, 2-6, 12-10.
The number three singles position was defaulted in honor of
Cooper Johnson, a dedicated Hamline Tennis student-athlete who tragically passed away last June.
Success continued in doubles, with juniors
Wyatt Crowell and
Brendon Sebring securing a decisive 6-1 victory in the top doubles slot.
The men are now primed for their trip to Saint Peter, MN next weekend for the Men's ITA Midwest Regional.Â
