Arendje Louter is getting her kicks playing women's soccer for Hamline. The Seattle, Wash. freshman scored twice last week for the Pipers, who dropped a 2-1 decision to Concordia and a 4-2 verdict to St. Catherine.

Louter broke a scoreless tie against the Cobbers early in the second half when she headed a Jensen Sevening cross into the net. It was one of a game high five shots Louter attempted in the game.

At St. Catherine, the Pipers were down 3-1 in the second half when Louter inched them closer. It started with a free kick just outside the penalty area. Keanna Mienert stepped forward and deftly slipped the ball to Louter. The freshman made no mistake, launching a low screamer than easily beat the SCU goalie to make it 3-2.

Louter has appeared in all six HU games played so far, starting four of them. The 1-5 Pipers look to get back on winning ways Tuesday when they play at Northwestern (St. Paul). Game time is 7:00 p.m.
