            It was an excellent finish to the women’s cross country season for this past Saturday at Carleton College in Northfield. The team finished seven places – and 212 points better—than last year's efforts. One of the bright spots for the team in Northfield was sophomore runner Kathleen Miles.

Miles finished in 35th place in the event, while posting a time of 23:23.2 in the 6k run. That was more than a minute better than her time at the MIAC meet two weeks earlier and helped lead Hamline to an overall 11th place finish in the event. Miles earned All-Region status for the event with placing in the top 35. She was one of the many bright spots all year for the team.

The future is bright for the women’s cross country team. Only one senior is graduating from the young 10 person roster. The ladies look to build off of this season, and look forward to coming out strong again next fall
