Track & Field Competed at Saint John's Invite

SAINT PAUL, MINN.—The Hamline University track & field teams participated in the Saint John's Invite on Saturday. The women took fifth place with 71.5 points, while the men notched seventh place with 30 points.

MEN

Jackson Lightner claimed the 60 meter hurdle title with a time of 8.58. Third place was in the cards for Austin Schloeder, who cleared the bar at 4.35m in the pole vault. The 200 meter run resulted in a fifth-place time of 23.18 for Reece Thomas.

WOMEN

Lexi Brainer was victorious in the weight throw with a championship-toss of 15.89m, followed by Madison Reed's second-place mark of 15.83m. Molly Meyers notched a second-place toss of 13.15m in the shot put, while Desirae Dates took third with a 12.47m. Anabel Bradley kept the second-place trend alive in the 800 meter run, where she notched a 2:30.82. 

Wren Anderson prevailed with a 1:45.13 in the 600 meter run, good enough for second place.

The Pipers will compete at the St. Olaf Tostrud Classic on Saturday, February 17.
