This is the kind of repetition a fellow likes to see. Last Saturday, Bakari Jackson soared 46-9 1/2 feet to win the Rriple Jump at the MIAC Outdoor Track & Field meet.  That was good enough to defeat the defending champ (St. John's Raymond Twumasi) by half a foot.

Perhaps even more impressive is that it gave Jackson a two-fer. he also won the sdame event at the MIAC Indoor Track & Field meet at Carleton in March, going 44-0 1/2.  

Jackson currently rates No. 29 among D-III leapers. He will have one more opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships at the annual Last Chance Meet this weekend in La Crosse, Wis. Even if he doesn't make it there, it can be considered a good start.

You see, he is only a freshman.
