It is not always easy to ive up to the role of being a favorite in an event like the Weight Throw. However, Nyjah Willis doesn't faze easily. The sophomore threw 51-7 feet to win the event at the MIAC Indoor Track/Field Championships last week at St. Olaf in Northfield.

Willis has thrown farther -- she went 53-6.25  the week before -- but her effort still bested the rest of the conference field by roughly two feet. She is currently 25th in the country among all D-III competitors in this event. Willis and the Pipers have another shot at making the field for the NCAA D-III Indoor T/F get-together -- the annual  Last Chance Meet this weekend in Stevens Point, Wis.
