Pipers Win Team Title at Luther Invitational

RESULTS

DECORAH, IOWA—The Hamline University women's track & field team participated in the Luther Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Pipers finished atop the eight-team field with a 144.

Molly Meyers added another first-place mark to her resume with a 13.15m in the shot put. Desirae Dates followed with a 12.40m in the shot put, good enough for second place. The Pipers were also successful in the weight throw courtesy of Madison Reed's second-place toss of 15.85m, and Lexi Brainer's third-place mark of 15.08m. 

Frankie Witham kept the championship times alive with a career-best 1.57m in the high jump, while Anabel Bradley won the 1000 meter run title with a 3:13.86. 

Bria Luepke cleared the bar at 2.74m in the pole vault en route to second place. Luepke kept that momentum going with a career-best 4.41 in the long jump, which secured her fourth place. Marissa Albers was the top Piper in the long jump with a second-place leap of 4.55m.

Third place was in the cards for Alicia Maddux (5:38.88) in the 1-mile run, as well as Andreiana Aurelius (27.80) in the 200 meter run.

The 4x400 meter relay team of Aurelius, Bradley, Kebeh Temeh, and Kyla Chester took first with a 4:30.09

The Pipers will compete at the South Dakota State Indoor Classic on February 9-10.
