Shamara had a nice daily double as the Piper women's tennis team won its first match of the season, 8-1, over Bethany Lutheran on February 23. The sophomore teamed with Lee Manthe for a 8-4 win in doubles and then won impressively at No. 5 singles, 6-0, 6-2. The Pipers, now 1-3 overall, face St. Olaf March 2 in Owatonna, Minn.
