Hamline University Athletics

It was a beautiful morning for a run at the Roy Griak Invitational on Satturday, September 26. Hamline senior Nathan Rock took full advantage of that fact, finishing an impressive fourth in a 153 runner field in the D-III competition.

Nathan toured the 8K course in 27:12.5, the second MIAC runner across the finish line. He helped anchor the Pipers' sixth place overall finish at the prestigious meet. Hamline totaled 152 points for the meet. 

It was the second strong effort in a row for the Inver Grove Heights, Minn. native. Nathan finished eighth overall (sixth among college runners) at the Luther Invite two weeks earlier, the first CC meet of the season. 

The Pipers return to action Octoner 10 with a meet at St. Catherine and then head to UW-LaCrosse a week later.

All of this is in preparation for the MIAC meet that will be held at Como Golf Course on October 31. Rocki was 15th in that meet a year ago and looks to move up this year.
