Eric Dols had a pair of impressive third place finishes at the MSU Mankato Open Track & Field meet last weekend. The junior lost out to a pair of D-II throwers but beat away the rest of the competition with a 51-.650 throw in the Shot Put and a 57-11.35 effort in the Weight Throw. The Shot Put throw is the third best by a MIAC competitor in the winter season. 

Dols has actually thrown the Weight farther (59-0 at St. Olaf). He will be one of the top competitors in both categories at the MIAC Indoor Meet at Macalester February 22-24.

The Prior Lake, Minn. will get to see those surroundings this weekend when the Pipers compete in the Hamster Invitational on Friday, February 2 at Mac. The meet begins at 5:30 p.m.
